“Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health.”

This reminder could be seen wherever we go-in advertisements on billboards, magazines, and in the packs of the cigarettes themselves. But cigarette smokers really pay attention? Most of the time, it is very likely that if you see cigarette packs on their hands every single day, they don’t. However, whatever your age, it is never too late to give up smoking.

Quitting cigarette smoking is very difficult to do, not unlike the withdrawal from alcohol illegal drugs. The reason for this is quite simple: the nicotine in the cigarette is highly addictive. It will make you want to smoke more cigarettes. So it’s not very difficult to understand that this is something that should be done with much discipline and commitment. If you’re a smoker and you decide to quit this habit for good, you need to prepare yourself for some very difficult tasks.

The hardest part will be the withdrawal. The ex-smoker will have to go through a lot of anxiety, irritability, impatience, and even depression. But if one wants to get rid of all those nicotine and potential illnesses, there is a need for much perseverance. The consequences of cigarette smoking range from the physical effects of wrinkly skin to bad breath, from possible cases of lung and heart diseases to gall bladder symptoms. So if you want to put an end to these risks, you should think twice of getting a puff from that stick.

One thing is for sure-smoking has no good effect on one’s health. It’s outwardly harmless but it kills a person slowly. So it’s now or never-if a smoker wants to improve his/her life, quitting is the first thing that should be done.
