The first thing that everybody notices when they go into a Starbucks is how happy they appear to be, apparently the smiles are genuine. Starbucks employees are saying that they are quite pleased working there. Starbucks has reported that the employee satisfaction is at an all-time high; therefore the employee turnover rate is extremely low. This is quite impressive for a company that has over seven thousand store locations throughout the world. Starbucks is so dedicated to offering Starbucks discount voucher, great customer service, that new hires to the company have to go through an extensive training for the first 24 hours of their employment. This training includes a very detailed session of how to greet the customers. Starbucks was named as one of the top 10 companies for Fortune magazines, Most Admired Companies list. This is quite impressive for a company the size of Starbucks. The founder of the company, Howard Schultz has even made the top 25 managers list for Business Week. Schultz started Starbucks back in 1971. He started out with just one store; the one store really took off because as mentioned before, Starbucks now has over 7000 locations throughout the world. Schultz does not refer to his workers were as employees but instead made the choice to call them partners. With such a great way of thinking like this, it is no wonder as to why employees of Starbucks are proud to work there.
